Single in-line package - In electronics, a single in-line package is an electronic device package which has one row of connecting pins. It is not as popular as the dual in-line package, but has been used for packaging RAM chips and multiple resistors with a common pin.
Line-replaceable unit - A line-replaceable unit (LRU) is a black box of electronics, such as a radio or other auxiliary equipment for a complex engineered system like an airplane or ship. LRUs speed up repair, because they can be replaced quickly, restoring the big system to service.
Stub (circuit) - In electronics, a stub is a calculated length section of transmission line used for impedance matching. They are most common in UHF or microwave circuits, because line lengths are more manageable, and are usually ended with either an open-circuit or a short-circuit.
Back porch - Back porch refers to the portion in each scan line of a video signal between the end (rising edge) of the horizontal sync pulse and the start of active video. It was originally allocated to allow the slow electronics in early televisions time to respond to the sync pulse and prepare for the active line period.
