Non-homologous end joining - Non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) is one pathway that can be used to repair double-stranded DNA breaks. It is non-homologous because no homology is required between the joined DNA strands.
Homologous chromosome - Two chromosomes are said to be homologous when they have the same alleles at the same positions (loci) for all the genes they contain, besides being of the same length. They can only be accounted for in diploid, such as humans, or polyploid beings.
Homologous temperature - Homologous temperature is the ratio of the temperature to the solidus temperature.
Homologous series - In chemistry, a homologous series is a series of organic compounds with a similar general formula, possessing similar chemical properties, and showing a gradation in physical properties as a result of increase in molecular size and mass (see relative molecular mass).
Homologous Structure Alignment Database (HOMSTRAD) - A database of structure-based alignments for homologous protein families. It provides annotated structural alignments in various formats, superimposed structures, links to other databases and the alignment and searching interface ...
Homology, Homotopy and Applications - General Information - An all-electronic, peer-reviewed, international journal of leading-edge research in Homological and Homotopical Algebra, K-Theory, and applications.
PatternHunter - Commercial general homology search software significantly faster than BLAST.
