Free quark - A free quark is a hypothetical quark that is not bound to another quark (or, in general, not part of a color-neutral) group. A free quark could be identified by its distinctive fractional electric charge.
Top quark condensate - The top quark condensate theory was an alternative to the Standard Model in which a fundamental scalar Higgs field is replaced by a composite field composed of the top quark and its antiquark.
