PA-RISC family - PA-RISC is a microprocessor architecture developed by Hewlett-Packard's Systems & VLSI Technology Operation. As the name implies, it is an implementation using a RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computing) design, where the PA stands for Precision Architecture.
ARM architecture - The ARM architecture (originally the Acorn RISC Machine) is a 32-bit RISC processor architecture that is widely used in a number of applications. ARM variants are in widespread use in embedded and low-power applications due to their power saving design features.
Clipper architecture - The Clipper architecture is a 32-bit RISC-like instruction set architecture microprocessor chip-set designed by Fairchild Semiconductor. The architecture never enjoyed much market success, and the only computer manufacturers to create major product lines using Clipper processors were Intergraph and High Level Hardware.
Classic RISC pipeline - The original MIPS, SPARC and Motorola 88000 CPUs were classic scalar RISC pipelines. Later, Hennessy and Patterson invented yet another classic RISC, the DLX, for use in their seminal textbook Computer Architecture: A Quantitative Approach.
Beyond RISC: The Post-RISC Architecture - Today's RISC processors are so far from RISC roots that they are no longer truly RISC. [Michigan State University, Department of Computer Science]
RISC Architecture - Sophomore college project. Basic clear explanations of: What is RISC, MIPS processors, Pipelining, RISC vs. CISC, some recent developments, readings.
DSPP: PA-RISC Architecture - System documentation for 32- and 64-bit PA-RISC processors. Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
