Ionization gauge - An ionization gauge, or ion gauge, is a manometer that is used to measure the negative pressure of vacuum, high vacuum, and ultra-high vacuum (UHV). Typically there are two main common types of ionization gauges, called the hot filament and cold filament types.
Vacuum gauge - A vacuum gauge is used to measure the pressure in a vacuum, which is broadly divided into two categories: high and low vacuum (and sometimes ultra-high vacuum). Many of the different techniques used to measure these categories have an overlap at some point in the pressure range.
Vacuum distillation - Vacuum distillation is a method of distillation whereby the pressure above the solution to be distilled is reduced to less than one Atmosphere (unit) causing evaporation of the most volatile liquid(s) (those with the lowest boiling points.) Vacuum distillation is used with or without heating the solution; some distillation processes use both vacuum and thermal action.
QCD vacuum - The QCD vacuum is the vacuum state of quantum chromodynamics (QCD). It is an example of a non-perturbative vacuum state, characterized by many non-vanishing condensates such as the gluon condensate or the quark condensate.
